Sister Quirl and I serving at the John Taylor Home. The Quirls live next door to us and it is great getting to know them better. Good neighbors.
We had these three lovely sisters, Sister Johnson, Sister Paystrup and Sister Jones over for dinner on Sunday. They have such strong testimonies and bright countenances. I caught this photo with the bright sun in their eyes. Sorry girls. Then they got playful on the wagon for me. Such fun they are.
We are calling this beautiful blooming tree The Tree of Life
April 9 -
Nauvoo miracle or moment. Today on the
Wagon ride, Elder Mecham and Elder Richards, picked up 2 older ladies for a
ride at the end of the day. They had
their own private tour. As they got to
talking to them they realized that they were from Missouri and not members. So Elder Richards was giving them a tour
accordingly. When they came by the 70's
Hall he told them how this was used to help prepare missionaries to teach the
restored gospel. One lady asked what
that meant, restored. Elder Mecham
pulled to a spot and they stopped. Elder
Richards proceeded to explain and basically gave the first discussion about the
First Vision and then about the Book of Mormon.
They asked if they knew anything about the Book of Mormon. One said she had one, but didn't know where
it was anymore. When they got back to
the depot, they gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and then got another one
from the FLC for the other lady. The
other lady was very appreciative for the book and said she was going to read
it. Golden moment. We hope they find truth and embrace it.
More signs of a lovely spring.

What a wonderful miracle!!
