Pageants

From July 9 - Aug. 3 we had the pageants.  Such a wonderful production.  Many came to perform and many came to watch.  Such great stories were told and we felt the saints here with us.

The story of the conversion of so many in Great Britian.  It was sweet to discover that our ancestors, James and Ellen Bennett along with her parents, John and Mary Pincock were some of the first to be baptized on that first mission of Heber C. Kimball's in 1837.

Then in 1841 they came to Nauvoo.  They were part of those that built this beautiful city and then pushed on to the Rocky Mountains, settling in Kaysville, Utah.  What a legacy.

On Sunday we had Sister Gratton and Sister Taylor join us for dinner.

  1. I'd love to see those pageants. Maybe next summer we can make it out there!

Dreaming of spring days coming...

It is the slow season.  Feb. 26, the wind blew, so working on the wagon was brisk.  I am bundled up with two coats, hat, scarf and more. ...
